Brothers Christopher and Daniel Dickens recently sold their Genesee County farmland.
Prior to the sale, Farm Credit’s Bill Kappus recommended an appraisal. Christopher shared their experience with certified appraiser Ray Wagester:

“My grandfather left farmland to my brother and me. We both pursued off-farm careers and rented the land out. Several farms inquired about purchase

As we considered a sale, we knew it was good land that was in demand by area farmers. We needed an unbiased expert to assess the market value and consider our options:
